Organize for climate justice with Rising Tide – February 8

Chevron Shut Down - Action is the... Were you inspired by the resistance to Kinder Morgan on Burnaby Mountain (good news by the way: Kinder Morgan just dropped its civil lawsuit against all 5 defendants!)? Want to support indigenous land defenders blockading pipelines but can’t make it up to sites like the Unist’ot’en camp? Want to be part of a like-minded community working to connect the struggle for climate justice to interlinked struggles against racism, colonialism and capitalism?

Forget new year’s resolutions like going to the gym: commit to climate justice organizing in 2015 and get involved with Rising Tide – Vancouver, Coast Salish Territories. We meet twice a month to plot, plan and organize, and we want you to join us! We’re holding our first open meeting of the new year for folks interested in joining the collective to find out more about Rising Tide: who we are, how we work, and what we’re up to right now.

When: February 8th, 6PM
Where: Spartacus Books, 3378 Findlay St., just east of Commercial at 18th

We hope you can join us! If you have any questions in the meantime, please email us at Also, please tell us if you have any accessibility needs for the meeting, and/or if you’re keen to get involved but can’t make that date, so we can let you know about future open meetings.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
